Owl Moon Raptor Center

OMRC is a state and federally licensed wildlife rehabilitation center specializing in birds of prey. Their mission is to rescue and rehabilitate injured, sick, and orphaned birds of prey and return them to the wild in sound, athletic condition; and to educate the public about raptors in the process. They are a non profit 501(c)(3) located in Boyds, Maryland.

Bennett Creek Animal Hospital works very closely with this wonderful organization. Dr. Deans routinely sees 1-3 of their birds every week, taking radiographs, giving medication, running tests, performing surgeries, and many other medical procedures that the birds may need. Dr. Deans and Dr. Walcoff donate their time and resources to help provide financially feasible medical care to these beautiful birds. Next time you are in for a visit with your pet, ask if Owl Moon is visiting today, you never know what kind of bird of prey you might get to see.
